What we do

Nature

Naturopathy is the art, science, and philosophy of nature. It is an holistic approach to health and wellness based on the unique qualities of each individual. It uses the principal that our body has an inherent ability to heal itself, given the right environment.

Naturopathy at our South Devon clinic is guided by the following founding principles:

  • First, do no harm
  • Utilise the healing power of nature
  • Treat the cause of imbalance, not just the symptoms
  • Treat the whole person; mind, body and spirit

Science

We use the most advanced screening technology available today. Our screening system will reveal disturbances on all levels: structural, biochemical, energetic and emotional.

Additionally, we use a highly powered microscope to evaluate a single drop of blood, which contains a mass of information to assess an individual's current state of balance / imbalance.

What we offer

At our South Devon naturopathic clinic, we offer:

  • Food Sensitivity Testing
  • Allergy Advice
  • State-of-the-art Health Screening
  • Cellular Analysis
  • Naturopathic Consultations
  • Personalised Retreats

We have achieved outstanding success with a wide range of symptoms; such as disruptive menopause, hormone imbalance, skin conditions, allergies and food intolerances, fatigue and ME, poor immune function, viruses, IBS, diabetes, parasites, candida, stress, sleep problems, migraines, low libido and more.

Devon's allergy advice clinic

Allergies plague thousands across Devon and many are less obvious than a strong reaction to nuts.

The human body can also be intolerant to a number of food types, environmental stimuli and substances - knowing which your body is negatively affected by is the first step to cutting them out of your life.

The difference can be massive, which is why we enjoy offering allergy advice and food intolerance tests as part of our repertoire.

Blending vs Juicing

What’s the difference? Good question! Juicing is a process which extracts water and nutrients from produce and discards the indigestible fibre. Blending, on the other hand, makes smoothies consisting of the entire fruit / vegetable (nothing is extracted). Juicing benefits Without all the fibre, your digestive system doesn’t have to work as hard to break [...]

How to take an Epsom Salt bath

But first why… Epsom salts are perfect for detoxing your body. Using these salts in bathwater creates a process called reverse-osmosis. This process pulls salt and harmful toxins out of the body and allows the magnesium and sulphates to enter into the body. Magnesium and sulphates are important minerals for the body - they are [...]

So what is Chlorophyll?

Nature's Haemoglobin Well it’s actually not as complicated as you’d expect! The green pigment found in all plants and algaes is chlorophyll. This is needed for photosynthesis to occur; the process which allows plants to absorb light from the sun and convert it into a viable energy source. Chlorophyll is almost identical to haemoglobin (human [...]

7 Reasons you should consider oil pulling

But first…what is it? Oil pulling dates back over 3,000 years and is an ancient Ayurvedic ritual. It involves placing cold-pressed oil into your mouth (olive oil and sesame work, but I find coconut oil tastes better). Swish the oil around in your mouth for between 5 & 20 minutes (pulling it between your teeth) [...]

Raw and Low Human-Intervention Eating

The less you change the food from its natural living state before consumption, the better. A common misconception is that raw means cold and uncooked. This would make a ‘raw diet’ incredibly challenging indeed. You can still cook foods, just generally cooked at lower temperatures (generally less than 50 degrees C) and / or for [...]
