What we do

Nature

Naturopathy is the art, science, and philosophy of nature. It is an holistic approach to health and wellness based on the unique qualities of each individual. It uses the principal that our body has an inherent ability to heal itself, given the right environment.

Naturopathy at our South Devon clinic is guided by the following founding principles:

  • First, do no harm
  • Utilise the healing power of nature
  • Treat the cause of imbalance, not just the symptoms
  • Treat the whole person; mind, body and spirit

Science

We use the most advanced screening technology available today. Our screening system will reveal disturbances on all levels: structural, biochemical, energetic and emotional.

Additionally, we use a highly powered microscope to evaluate a single drop of blood, which contains a mass of information to assess an individual's current state of balance / imbalance.

What we offer

At our South Devon naturopathic clinic, we offer:

  • Food Sensitivity Testing
  • Allergy Advice
  • State-of-the-art Health Screening
  • Cellular Analysis
  • Naturopathic Consultations
  • Personalised Retreats

We have achieved outstanding success with a wide range of symptoms; such as disruptive menopause, hormone imbalance, skin conditions, allergies and food intolerances, fatigue and ME, poor immune function, viruses, IBS, diabetes, parasites, candida, stress, sleep problems, migraines, low libido and more.

Devon's allergy advice clinic

Allergies plague thousands across Devon and many are less obvious than a strong reaction to nuts.

The human body can also be intolerant to a number of food types, environmental stimuli and substances - knowing which your body is negatively affected by is the first step to cutting them out of your life.

The difference can be massive, which is why we enjoy offering allergy advice and food intolerance tests as part of our repertoire.

Tasty Tuesdays – Coconut Chia Creamy Pots

The perfect cool treat for the hottest day of the year!

These are quick to put together and just require a little bit of patience while it cools in the fridge.

What you will need:

  • 1 cup of (organic) coconut milk
  • ¼ cup of chia seeds
  • 1 date
  • 1 cup of dairy free coconut yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds (ground) or 1 tablespoon of flax meal
  • 1 tsp of sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Some favourite toppings:
    • 1 handful of blueberries or raspberries
    • 1 handful of mixed nuts (the more variety the better) and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
    • 1 fig

Instructions:

  1. Sweeten the Coconut milk: simply blend the coconut milk with the date. This little touch of sweetness and flavour from the date makes a huge difference, believe me!
  1. Next combine the sweetened coconut milk in a large bowl with chia seeds, vanilla, flax-meal (or ground flax) and sesame seeds and mix well (no lumps allowed).
  1. Put the mixture into the fridge for 20-30 minutes to allow the chia to expand and chill nicely.
  1. Finally to serve, fill a small glass with a layer of dairy free coconut yogurt, followed by the chia mix, then a little extra layer of coconut yogurt.
  1. Now add your choice of toppings.

The three ones that I love are:

  • Simply fruit – blueberries or raspberries (sometimes you need nothing more!)
  • With mixed nuts and cinnamon
  • With fig for a sweetener, this I find to be a more exotic flavour to complement the coconut!
rasperberry, chia pot

Enjoying this outside in the sun is obligatory!

Another way to change this up would be to mix 2 teaspoons of raw cacao powder in with the chia or with the coconut milk (when you blend in the dates) – this makes it a chocolate chia cream pot. Anything with chocolate in it immediately feels indulgent but is much better for you than gorging on a Galaxy bar!

A yummy treat that has so many easy variations – find out which one’s your favourite!
